Ignition Coil Location

I have recently installed the rebuilt 2000TC motor and accessories. Just a few items left: the two boosters, and the ignition coil. Can't for the life of me remember where the coil was mounted.....should have taken pictures, I guess. Can anyone help me?

Hi Dick,

if i remember right it should be mounted either on the left or the right inner wing. I am not sure why and when they changed it over.
In my car (1970 series 1 2000 TC) it is on the right (as you watch the car from behind) inner wing, just backwards from the brake servo. Actually it is bolted onto the servo bracket. (In my case there is just one servo). On other cars it is fitted on the left inner wing, somewhere at the air filter box intake snorkel.

This is the dual servo 2000TC. Brake reservoir is on the left hand side in front of the wiper motor. (Left hand drive)the servos are mounted on the right inner wing.Maybe after I replace the servos, I will see what space is left.
