Master cylinder cap

I'm braving the weather to make a start on some of the jobs I know my P6 will need done for its MOT. I put on a new rear exhaust mount then went to have a look at my flashing brake warning light. If I dissconect the master cylinder cap connections the light works as it should on the hand brake. So I took the cap off and removed the metal float sleeve to reveal a very sodden looking cork float. Suffice it to say after a good clean it now won't float at all!

Has anyone had the same problem? Did you manage to get another cap? How much? Or have you managed to fassion your own cork float? Or am I barking up the wrong tree??????? Your advice greatly appreciated as always.

Just fit another cork (from a suitable size wine bottle for example) clean up the contacts, and it will be as good as new. Been there done that.
