Master Cylinder Pushhrod Grommet - 3500S

The top-end rebuild (qf) has expanded to include fitting a new master cylinder I picked up some time ago.

Does anyone know where I might get one of said grommets to replace the sorry-looking ripped thing I have? Rover Part No 538733...V8 Parts Catalogue, page 12 64. I see Scott's do them, but this country? Failing that, an ordinary blanking grommet to fit what looks like a 1.3/8" (35mm) hole? All that's available seem to be 32 or 38mm.

A standard Lucas Girling repair kit should include that and there's several on Ebay
Your new cylinder has a ripped grommet ? Best to take it apart and check the bore and piston aren't corroded
Fit new seals and use a bit of the red rubber grease

Sorry Dave, perhaps I didn't explain too well. No, the cylinder's fine. The grommet I'm after is the one that sits in the base unit above the pedal box area that the long pushrod pokes through before it engages with the pedal trunnion.
