That doesnt really say much about its size!

Ive just measured mine for you.
Front to back is 3ft,and you can hinge down the retaining rails to put longer items on it like planks.
Side -side is 2ft 10" min,and you can adjust the side rails to about 4ft, and gutter securing arms out to about 4ft 6".
It will fit on a Mini and a XJ6 Jag or Rolls.
Hope this helps.
And!!!
What about this cracker on ebay at the moment?
Doubt if you will find better unless its never opened!
Consider rechrome costs and replacing impossible to find damaged parts!!

A couple more questions.

1. Do you know what size the Alllen key is that undoes the side rail to allow it to slide.

2. The parts manual shows the roof rack but does not show which is the back and which is the front. Might sound daft but I assume the narrower bit of the side rail goes towards the front of the car and the wider bit towards the back?

I really need to look at a photo of one on a car if anyone has one.

Hi Tony.
I think the allen key is 3mm,and when I fit mine I put the narrow bit of the side rail to the rear as it looks more streamlined, but it will go either!
Just trying to find a pic for you!

Found one!!
But will need to do one for my album anyway,so will do one tomorrow aft work!

That loks very retro and nicely up-market! Well done! Nice to see the finished result of your roof saga etc too!
