P6B alternator.

My P6B is now running properly and has been treated to a Lumenition electronic ignition system. That's the good news...

However, I noticed that the Ignition warning light stays illuminated.... Does this signify a faulty or non-working alternator, like the battery light in most modern cars?

Hello Simon,

If it coincides with the ammeter showing a discharge, then yes. The likely cause if this is the case is either the voltage regulator has failed or the carbon brushes need replacing.
