Piston setting tool - Rear calipers

Does anyone know where i can get a piston setting tool for the rear calipers on my v8 or does anone have any idea how to do what the tool does without the tool?

???

That girling tool to wind the piston back is what I assume you are referring to. If it is my advice would be forget it.
Remove the discs and pads and then carefully wind the piston back with a screwdriver or grips, taking care not to damage the piston or break the locating tag for the inner pad off.
The tool is designed to wind the piston back with the disc in situ and never works well anyway.

Remove the four bolts on the driveshafts securing them thru the disc into the diff output shaft, move the shafts out slightly and pull clear then knock the disc off its mounting dowels. You wont be able to move the shafts out if either the wheels are on the ground or ramps, or if you have stands under the de dion (not recommended anyway) or the rear bottom link.

I have done this a couple of times without removing the disc just the pads.

With a good screwdriver you can manage it, as long as the adjuster is free to rotate.

:p Just done this "Little Job" on mine ... :O Patience, lots of Coffee and a reasonable sense of Humor will do, oh and a small selection of Screwdrivers and a good Light. Something to rest your Head on too is nice . . . :D
