S2 inertia reels with S1 seats

I replaced the worn out S2 interior of my 2200TC with a good S1 interior. Problem is that the passenger seat belt is now too tight against the front seat so it does not wind back into the reel! Anyone had the same problem? Also looking for a set of S1 runners so I can move the seats?

The shape of the seats side is different if the seats are from a non inertia belted car, especially from flat to box pleat type, you could always fit a set of static irvin belts if you can find some!!
there may be some late old style seats out there with the right shape sides, trouble is finding them!!

I have seen seats with chrome plates on them, not sure if this would sort out the problem.

You could try loosening the mounting bolts and push the seat towards the tunnel, hold and tighten, you can also try it with the runners aswell. maybe give you that extra couple of mil.

I thought the runners were the same? are your runner jammed?

Thanks Colin, I will try to move things as you suggest. Runners - not too sure of any difference, but the S1 seats will not move back or forward even though the release lever is working perfectly on both seats!
