SD1 engine into a P6B

Hi all,
Got the option of an SD1 engine at a good price to fit into my P6B auto, the SD1 engine is from a manual car, I understand that I may have to change some parts over but unsure as to what. Will I have to change the sump? Timing cover? I know the waterpump is different as is the bottom pulley and flywheel but not sure of anything else,
Any advice would be most welcome

Thanks in advance
Rob

In addition to what you list you will need to change the sump, and the spigot bearing, as well as the exhaust manifolds. You can use the SD1 timing cover but will either have to change to an electic fuel pump, or drill and tap holes for the manual pump, as well as the access hole. The cover will have to come off to fit the actuating cam for the pump on the camshaft if you choose to go mechanical. If you want to use the P6B oil filter you'll need to put the P6B filter housing on the SD1 timing cover.

I would say that was pretty straightforward, especially if you opt for the electric fuel pump. Plus the SD1 gives you the upgraded heads and high volume oil pump. Easy-peasy.
