SERVO, can it be bled?

SERVO, I had removed for welding , since refitting & bleeding the whole system as per the work shop manual, the car still has intermittant braking, it'll pull to left & then it'll pull up straight, have just fillted brand new O/S/F caliper , this has helped but not fully cured.

Is it that I have disturbed the servo whilst removing it & now have air trapped (all was fine before I did so) All the flexi pipes are new as are most of the copper pipes, one solution advised to me was to just crack open the feed pipe from servo the the splitter block as someone gently pushes down the brake pedal & possible expelling any air in there..any thoughts? its driving me nuts!

cheers Damian

If it's a single line system then the servo won't make the car pull one way or the other even if it is faulty, that has to be a problem at one of the front corners.

Hello Damian,

If you have fitted only one new front caliper thus far, then you will need to fit the other. Not doing so will often see a bias to one side or the other and unsatisfactory braking. The problem as Harvey indicated is not down to the booster (servo), even with air trapped or a problem within, braking will always remain straight line.

Did you replace the flexible brake lines? What type did you use? Are both sides the same?

Ron.
