When I bought my 1st P6B three weeks ago the speedo was not working,so I thought it must be the cable,took the cable out sure enough broken at the g/box end,fitted a new cable still no drive from the g/box,cable doe's not turn so I can only suspect that the drive in the g/box is at fault though the cable will not turn by hand when connected to the box.Now the thing is where can i get a new g/box speedo drive as this is a 5 speed SD1 LT77.I have not yet taken the drive out of the box to examine it as I only have ramps no pit and did not wish to lose all the oil and cannot see it being anything else? unless someone has had this problem before?I am assuming its the nylon cogwheel.

If you could, it would mean that the speedo drive in the gearbox is stuffed. However, check the angle drive at the speedo end. I found that mine was worn and was not working.To my amazement, I was able to have new gears fitted from stock here in NZ.
