The Sweeney

Grifterkid - you're a first class anorak!

...but many thanks for sharing those with us. :D

Time to get the boxed set out again I think....

Great pics 8)
I especially like the one of AAV with the inside wheel cocked in the air :D reminded me of me at 17 driving my '66 2000
Shame how the following pics ended though :(

Great pic, really hits home how much they roll when pushed hard, practically scraping the sills on the floor !

How come one appears to have it's roof ripped off then it's back on when the car's on it's side?
Artistic licence , no doubt

Stunning show!! Watch it every week on demand on saturday nights with a few pints. My wife says that the theme tune music reminds her of having to go to bed as a small child. Love Minder too (Arthur's big XJ's) and the Proffesionals (early Dolly Sprint days) is not too bad either ... but as stated The Sweeney is outstanding.

apparently John Thaw was only in his 30s in the show and at the height of alcoholism. Often he would have been up all night boozing and then go in next day to film (this was in extras section of DVD "Regan").

Great show, great cars and a London we have all lost as a back drop!

That's probably why he had a bottle of whisky in his office drawer for a livener
You couldn't get away with that these days , more's the pity

You could in effect drink what you want, smoke what you want and say what you want!! How the life of the humble working class man has changed :!:
