is a thermostat from an sd1 ok to use and is the gasket the same? trying to do a heavy service and yet all the parts aren't listed anywhere anymore bother, does anyone know which oil filter i need as well its an 1968 3500 if you need to know that
 
There is the usual suppliers for parts.

Thermostats are easy. you want an 82*c or 88*c stat. Go to a motor factor, if you tell them it is to fit an old style mini then you should be ok. obviously an SD1 stat will fit.

The oil filters can be difficult to get hold of but are available. I can help you source various filters. send me PM.
