This weekends NEC classic car show.

Will the club be having its own stand at this show ? This will be the first year i have gone to the classic Car show, although i have been to the NEC for the National Car show several times, so the size of the place will be no shock. The classic bikes will be having their own hall this year i belive, which is great too.

I suppose many regulars from here will be going. Its too late now, but if id remembered befroe i would have bought a P6 club badge, to wear at the show. We need a way to recognise each other. Something similar to the idea mentioned in the spring about having a Forum name tag for your car on the stand a shows. As the majority of us dont have cars on stands at the shows we go to. So a similar smaller badge maybe 1 inch wide with P6 ROC then your forum name underneath. Like i said its a bit late now anyway, but might be an idea for the future. Surely someone has thought of this before ?
 
Yes the club will have a stand at the show, unfortunately I won't be going but other members of the committee will be there to chat with members.

Three great looking cars on the stand, they got loads of interesting looks and comments over the three days, (i was working on the SD1 stand next door all weekend)

Provacative indeed. SD1s have their faults, but I'd rather drive an SD1 than a lot of modern cars. However, they do not compare to P5s and P6s. Do love their late engines though.
 
The Rover 800 on the RSR stand was awful! not an example for a show of any kind (my thoughts anyway)

I think they've listed 800's in PC for a while now, they had a project car 820 years ago.

My daily drive 820 is 20 years old, and the earliest general release models were 1986 so 22 years old now, my general rule of thumb is that anything over 20 years old can be considered a "classic"

What was wrong with the 800 on the RSR stand then ?
 
It would be easier to tell you what was right!!!!!!!!!!
it was just a very bad example to show, i was a kids version of pimp my ride :oops:
sorry but not nice, really bad paint work (bonnet) blaclked out (ish) windows not all matching and some kind of dodgem kit on around the sills
