I have just read in p6 news that the orginal pump impeller has been remade.

Heres the link. I think it is a fair price having tried to get them remade a few times over the years.

Definatley work buying a couple.

I'm tempted to convert mine to 24v operation just so I can buy that and use it.......

They're absolutely spot on and restore the pump performance to as new.

I remember taking mine apart and wondering how anyone could produce such a crappy design even in the 1960s.

I know it's an essential for concours and purists but my favourite easy upgrade was to screw two lucas pumps (£4 each) to the cap and swap the Rover outlet for twin Mini ones (which look much the same).

That way you can aim one high and one low. You get a clean windscreen at any speed....
