Absolutely splendid day out today, excellent attendance on the RP6C stand, must have been 20 cars there.

Just a quick photo before I sort out the several dozen I took today.

Thanks to Alec for superb organisation!

Thoroughly agree Nick

We did :D

Just back and guess what......?????? it's raining here  typical. 28 degrees where you are and 15 degrees here.

Just short of 1000 miles recorded for the weekend and the car didn't miss a beat :D

Superb, well done Dave. My brother had a perfect drive too (from and to Cardiff), I've no idea what speed he was cruising at on the M4, but he was home very quickly.

Here are some of the pics I took with my phone (forgot to bring the camera  ) of this weekend:

They're very good. You can just see Heather chortling in the gazebo!

We had two NADA's - David Oxford's magnificent restoration from an Ian Wilson import (will be on the RP6C stand at the NEC this year) and Clive Osbourn's unrestored Corsica Blue example, which he's had for 20 years under wraps pending major restoration.

ONA, Martin Smith's recently recommissioned Three Thousand Five, is parked next to my 1964 2000. You can see the difference in shades between Rover White (mine) and Davos White (Martin's) very clearly.

That is a wonderful old red telephone box next to your car Dave. Have you seen the AA box by Nick Sayle's P6? You can view it under the Welcome topic "Just eneterd the P6 World" from Nick Sayle.

Nice to meet you on Sunday. The sun is still out here and its very hot. Glad you had a good journey home.

Cheers

Tony Bunting :D

HERE ARE 5 PHOTOS I TOOK AT UXBRIDGE ON SUNDAY:

Some nice candid shots there Tony.

The red phone box was one I passed on the way out to the Ardnamurchan peninsula (google it  ). I just had to stop and get a few photos of it with the car. The AA box in Nick Sayle's pictures does look good with his car (the car looks ok too  )

Dave

This is a bit nasty - in the photo below of Tony's someone's decapitated Martin Smith and left his head on the spare wheel cover on the boot of Frank Wakefield's car!

....and you can just see the rest of his body wandering aimlessly around under the bonnet of Clive's Osbourn's car

Àird nam Murchan. What a wonderful place! Particularly Camas nan Geall . Now a chap from Stornoway, who I met in Italy, once told me I must visit Stornoway to see real beauty and to get the best haggis but having googled the peninsular it seems one does not have to go as far as Stornoway for the beautiful scenary. AND the Haggis from that Stornoway butcher? Well that comes by mail order these days!
