Does anyone have any records of how many of these were made and how many are still on the road now? Didn't know if there's anyway of finding out?

Hello Dom,
several years ago (about 7 or 8, I'm guessing) Peter, who was the P6 News editor at the time, told me that only 27 series 1 V8 models were recorded at DVLA but I'm not sure how you make that enquiry.
James Taylor in his book on the Rover P6 reckons that 16,986 were made for the home market.
Hope the car is still going well for you.
Colin, you may not know that Dom purchased my Three Thousand Five LRV501G about 2½ years ago!
Regards, to you both, John.

Hi John, thanks for the info. She's still running sweet, regularly serviced and kept in tip top condition. Just last weekend friends of ours got wed In Lincoln and we used her for the wedding car complete with bows and ribbons and me wearing chauffeur's cap (370 mile round trip). They were both extremely happy with their carraige and we got loads of compliments. :D

Hello Dom,
sorry, only just read this reply!
Very pleased to hear it tho'!
I have now officially given up looking for the pristine / concours P6 - It either doesn't exist or, more likely, it's not (yet) for sale, so I have purchased a Triumph Stag (tax-exempt, Sapphire Blue, auto with loads of money spent on it) and I am enjoying using it.
It isn't / won't be a polish-and-show car but rather a "classic rally and run-weekend" type of car.
Regards, John.
p.s. Would you like me to send photographs of LRV501G to you (please supply address / e-mail (lost!)
(There are at least 5 photo's on this website!)
p.p.s. Did you see the Lambretta from Quadraphenia for sale for £25k ????

Hi John, glad to hear you got a car at last, shame it wasn't a P6 :( but a Stags a lovely motor as well :D . I'll send you an email with my address for the pics if that's ok. Yeah I've seen Jimmy's scooter up for sale, mad amount of money but even a normal 60's restored 200cc Lambretta goes for about £6000 now , glad I got all mine years back.
