Folks

This very very nice and rare 420GSI Estate is in the hands currently of Chris, Beth The Membership Lady's better half, in the Kidderminster area.

It is MOT'd and taxed until next April. 71k miles and the cam belt has been done recently. Has the super-reliable 'T' series engine.

Some of the lacquer has peeled on one side of the paint, the engine bay could do with cleaning up, and there are one or two rust blisters, but otherwise it's extremely clean and very very pretty. Chris is looking for about £700 for the car.

Give him a bell on 07866 767942.

Thanks
Nick

It's a good job I'm locked in a hospital room, I love these, and a great colour, T series means it won't explode every week. And of course it could easily be swapped for the turbo version for some very rapid estate action.

Agreed - i really like how ours drives - the 1.6 is quick. I'd hope the 2.0 has higher gearing as thats the only thing i'd change about the way it drives!

If that was an auto I'd have to give some serious thought about getting that for Mrs Harvey. Mind you, if she had it it wouldn't stay that nice for long, she likes making her cars earn their keep.

K series gearing is shocking, needs a 6th gear, I'd assume the T uses the 820 box which will gear it much better, given the fact that the 2ltr is about 140bhp it should be a pretty lively little motor.

It is nice, good value too.

My 216 k series used to bug me with the High RPM in 5th gear, I got a second hand box to get refurbished and had them find better ratio from a Peugeot box or whatever whilst they were doing it, really make motorways nicers knocked easily 500rpm off and quieter.
