Hiya, finally got over to take some pics of the P6.

And finally cajoled my PC into uploading them.

I dont think she looks too bad in general, the interior is neat and tidy. The sunroof moves smoothly.
There are bubbles in the paint around the bottom of the doors and whatnot but only a handful have broken through the paintwork so they should be fairly alright to sort out.
Under the rear seat bases is all fresh and lovely, primer sorta coloured but no rust.
The boot floor has some quite a lot of rusty specs but it all looks to be just surface.

This seems to be the worst bit of tin worm. Or at least the worst i have found so far.

So in general i'm quite happy with my bargain purchase.
I'm courious whether that 30,000miles on the dashboard is genuine or if its already been round once before :D

Hi Chris, good luck with your project and I might see you about locally as I'm only up the road in Colchester. :)

Looks ok - apart from that D post.

Have a look at the sides of the boot, under the rubber matting.

Very nice though.

What is the grey box with the brown wire behind the servo?

Richard

Ah, i've not seen any P6's on the road around here, I'll have to pop over and compare notes one day when mine's on the road.

I'll photo under the rubber side bits next time i'm with it. I did have a look under them though and it just looked like a lot of glue/seam sealer.

Grey box with the brown wire. I haven't a clue.

I cant even remember looking at it to be honest, i guess it's a voltage regulator or something???

Mine came from Rayleigh. I bought it last September and it was apaprently his daily driver.

It's not stock. Or at least I have never seen one before.

Looking at that D post, I would get the sill covers off and have a good poke around, usually when the D post goes like that the water gets into the sills and does it's worst !

Finger crossed though !
