Window/Door seals

Sorry Mexico Brown - there aren't any! You're only option is Ebay for the occasional NOS one. They average about once every three months and fetch very high prices - say £100+ per seal.

The good news is that current repro production from both Scott's and Rover-Classics/Wynns is very good and effective, albeit without the stiffener.

Hi Paul

From experience it makes fitting much easier especially where seal goes in at the quarter light and generally helps keep the seal in shape, however with a bit of lubrication the same end can be achieved.

It basically stiffens it all up,so it doesnt warp when screws are done up.
There was a set on ebay recently that had the metal inserts went for £150,,, 160714600095
Some older repro's are quite stiff, others are very floppy!

In my experience the Scotts rubbers are superb. They don't have the strengtheners, but don't really need them as they are very solid. They're thicker than the original Rover ones, so will probably last longer in the sunlight.

I recently snapped up a full set of the Scotts ones for £35 inc p/p from europe! :D
Mind you that was a bargain price!!
Very pleased! :)

Hi

Thanks to all who posted replies, however Nick suggested Scott's as a possible supplier, am not familiar with that company, any further info?
Thanks

Stan, when you fitted the door seals did it make a difference to closing your doors, ie you had to use slightly more force. Have they made any difference to wind noise ?
