This is how my screen washer looks now. You will agree that it looks standard enough. Which was one of my intentions. The other was to actually pump enough water to wash the screen. I was fed up with various used motors that worked for a couple of days only. Then they could not create enough suction. So i bought a cheap generic pump, installed under the cap with the required pipework and wiring and left the old motor in place in order to retain the standard look. The new motor has also been waterproofed with some silicone to protect it from water splashing on it.
And it actually does work as it should!
Here is a photo from under the cap.

You can do a similar effect by putting the pump outside the bottle on the inner wing but keeping the old pump in place .Demetris's method does mean you can keep the existing wiring in place

I've had an external washer motor fitted by the coil, leaving the rest of the plumbing intact. After a bit of pondering on how to better it, I succeeded yesterday in scavenging a BMW washer motor out of a sedan that I hope to fit in the bottle cap with a bit of modding. Although not grey in colour... these are powerful little things and I believe the non-return valve is incorporated into the body (otherwise I'll fit one in the tubing).

I fitted a Chevette washer pump into the bottom of my bottle, so I could leave the old one on top, and no wiring changes required.
