Wing mirror

Were Raydot wing and Winguard mirrors fitted to the P6 as standard ? If so why both types. Cheers Mick

It all depended on what the dealer had in stock at the time!
Most popular was the usual wingard we know and crave!!
But raydyot,desmo,lucas,no doubt were all used at some point.

Only if you're very, very lucky & have very deep pockets. Unless you get lucky like me & get a new boxed one in a job lot of P6 parts.

Ive actually got 2 new wingards still in boxes,but they are of the zanetti twin lens type!

I also have a pair of those, new in boxes. £20 from ebay IIRC.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about them TBH . I took mine off and fitted a set of these

I think they suit the lines of the car better , and fit the original holes , no drilling :wink:

The twin lens Zanetti ones are very unusual & quite attractive. TBH, I didn't even know they were Winguards when I bought them, I just liked the look of them. I haven't fitted any of them as yet & don't even know if I will. Bruiser has bullet mirrors & that's the only P6 I'm planning to keep at the present time, along with my P5B. Though when & if that state of affairs comes into being is anybody's guess. :roll:
