Wiper Blades

Hi everyone, as I'm new to P6's and recently tried driving in the rain (typical british weather), I've discovered that the windscreen wipers don't seem to be up to the job :shock: ..Has anyone on here replaced the blades with modern ones to any great effect? or know of a good set worth replacing with? or even how I could 'tweek' them so they wipe better? Thanks, Will.
 
iv just put a new pair one bought a great expence from halfords :shock: but they do the job well i like you couldnt see a thing in the rain :shock: now everything clear as glass :D :p if i remember right the halfords code is w12 or 13

If you have access to e.Bay search 14 inch wiper blades. Usually plenty available.
Back in May this year, MOT time for my P6, I got a pair of Trico blades quickly at £2.69 each from an e.Bay shop, passed MOt and clears the screen perfectly. :D

Nearly all wiper blades these days come sprayed black,if you are not concerned with originality fit them as they come, but for those wishing to retain the original Rover stainless steel blade look, it is relatively easy to slide the new rubber blade into the old stainless frame but you do have to ensure they are compatable. (Trico blades are !) :LOL:
 
Thanks, that's a lot of help. I did try ebay but wasn't sure if the blades would fit the wiper arms as they're a bayonet/spade fit and a lot of the newer blades seem to be hook fit? but I'll have another look. Thanks everyone :)
