Wiper Motor Changes to Accomodate the Air Con Heater Box.

If no-one knows, I've fitted a NADA heater box to my p6. Its gone in with some gentle persuasion and I've even managed to fit the original 2000tc front scuttle pan.

Now, due to the positioning of the heater box, the connecting rod from the wiper motor which actuates the wiper mechanism under the windscreen, is catching against the heater box. I've bent and flexed the connecting rod to see if it can avoid the heater box and is not really working.

I thought I would ask before fabricating my own connecting rod thing, whether its an easy enough job to connect up a cable set-up for the wipers and whether this would prevent the wipers from catching on the heater box.

It is probably easiest to just swap in the cable drive wipers from a V8. Just get a complete assembly with mounting brackets and a bit of the wiring loom. It will work with the AC because that's what would have been there originally and you will just have to extend the wiring to suit.
