Wipers don't park - which wires where?

Hello,
I've just replaced my wiper motor in my French spec lhd 72 V8 and I did not pay enough attention to where the three connectors go
for the delay unit. The wiper motor uses an idiot proof multiplug connector, but not the delay unit!
Can someone please tell me which wire goes where?
Also, the wipers do not park when turned off. They just stop immediately when I turn them off.
Maybe this is related to the delay unit, but if not, where should I start looking?
Many thanks,
Philippe

No replies here... I found a disconnected cable under the dash on my father's V8. I forget the colour, but the switch has most of its connectors in a circle close to the edge of the body, and one closer to the centre, which was the one... Connecting it made the wipers park. Quite random but that's my tuppence worth.

If your delay is still out I'll take a pic of my working LHD delay unit for you if you like. PM me?

Hi, i intend to retrofit a delay unit into my LHD 2000, so i would be grateful if you could post a picture here.
Otherwise, i am just guessing.

Thanks,

Hi Demetris,

I'll snap one as soon as I stop by the garage and post that.

Cheers, Tor

Hope this helps: the double earth is on the left terminal. Purple-green top right, yellow-green lower right terminal.

I'll be replacing the sponge element for a thicker/tighter one, my delay used to be 0.5-12 secs but keeps shrinking... There's always something to keep you occupied.

Thanks for this. I have worked out the wiring.
However, yours should be a V8 right? Because i can see that you have the different rack type wiper mechanism.
Anyway, i managed to install the delay unit somehow and it seems to work as it should.

Thanks,

Demetris
