Wiring my p6 up.

Hello folks, need a hand.

Having a right nightmare wiring my p6 up. Its a 2000sc auto that has been converted to 2200tc manual. Came to me with most the wiring largely disconnected. The important stuff mainly - engine stuff. I managed to 'hotwire' it a while back, as it were, and had it sparking and turning over. Not had it running yet, but it was a start.

With the use of a workshop manual ive got the battery cable properly routed, joined to the solenoid, jumper wiring sorted, so forth, key is all connected and ive bypassed the auto loom inhibitor switch wiring.

Still cant get it to turn on the key. This is my problem. Ive found if i jump the solid brown and yellow & white wire that comes on the jumper loom from the solenoid the engine will turn over. I dont appear to have power getting to the key through the solid brown white but if i jump it, it makes no difference.

The long and short of it is, im not that great with wiring and i can only work out so much. Once it turns on the key i can get it running properly and once its running i can sort brakes, clutch, so forth. So its holding me back a bit.

Anyone any ideas what im doing wrong?

Thanks for reading!

I have, but i said even if i jump the feed from the solenoid it doesnt turn on the key.

If you've got a feed into the switch, then check if you have a feed out when the key is in the "start" position.
