Worrying Brakes

Took the car out on Sunday for a drive in the sun. Got to destination but when parking (thankfully)I lost all brakes - pedal just went to the floor with no brake force evident. Drove round a car park for 5 mins and still no brakes. Swithched off and called AA. By the time AA turned up brakes were back with a full pedal. Brake fluid level was ok and no visual leaks. Car recovered to home by AA and brakes seem fine. Servo works -tested by putting foot on pedal and turning car over and pedal depresses slightly due to vacuum.
Have doubt in my mind now when driving it.
Any body elese has similar or any ideas as to what may of happened?

When you lost the brake pedal how many times did you pump it to see if anything came back between the time they disappeared and their return?
 
Loose front wheel bearings allowing pad kick-back ?
I'm assuming it didn't get hot enough for the brake fluid to vapourise?
 
Master cylinder IMHO. I've had terrifying random loss of brakes in customer's cars a couple of times. Not a nice experience.
