Would have some hustle...

The engine number correlates with a 1990 3.9 litre, which cannot be made into a 4.6 litre, unless of course the crank journals were ground down so as to increase the stroke. The block has 14 bolts for head retention which agrees with it being a 3.9 litre block.

Interesting that no photos were included of the engine within the car. As it stands, the engine in the photo would have problems fitting, unless the timing cover etc were all changed.

Yes indeed Brenten, the gear lever in the car is for the auto transmission, and yet the photo is of a manual gearbox. No registration either......

Is that an Australian-exclusive color or something custom? It's nice.

The car will have been assembled in New Zealand for the Australian market, so not a normal Rover colour. Many of the Australian market Rovers were painted in Triumph colours.

box and motor are seperate.

I was looking at it too, but like Ron said, 3.9 numbers does not maketh a 4.6

W58 box and bellhousing would be nice though.
