The whitewalls & quarter panel are just roughly brush-painted.

Wow! That's interesting. I thought the front view was a little subdued in relation to the rear..then I noticed the roof mounted spot lamps..and the other thing in the middle of the roof, what is that?

Just realised I have seen this car - they turned up at The Case Is Altered in it a few months ago.
Then it wasn't 'customised'.
It's a 1975/76 2200 auto with '3500' badges, running on a 2000TC tax free logbook.
No - they didn't do it, and didn't have a clue that what they'd bought (from a prime mover in the world of supplying cars for filming) was anything other than straight.

I've seen this car several times, its located in the Heathrow/hounslow area, spoken to the driver , he enjoys driving it and offers up that's not a 3.5
