Zinc Additive While 'Running In'?

Fresh rebuild of my 3.5L V8 almost running. Opinions of using zinc additive while running in and afterward?
 
I dont know about the running in period but here in the UK there are certain specific oils that contain enough ZDDP. Millers classic, comma sonic, valvoline and a few others. I guess the first port of call is to look for these state side. They must be available for the other GM 215 engines?
 
When I did the 3.5 in my Landrover, I just used the red goop stuff over everything on assembly. Bedded the cam in and then changed the (normal classic green) oil after first 300 miles.

The rebuild was new cam, lifters, rocker gear, timing chain, gears, piston rings, shells.

This was all done back in 2008 and all has been fine since. The Land-Rover was my daily until I bought my p6 a couple of years ago :D it has been on weekend duties since.
