There are two types. Series 1 "narrow" and series 2 which are much wider (twice?). Series 1 "narrow" are almost exclusively on export models including the NADA and hence are more difficult to source. In principle you could specify a new car in the UK with the early type but I never saw one.
Used series 2 strips are not worth much because being stainless steel and all cars have them they are really common - every "breaker" will likely have a set. At £150 I'd hope they were a freak NOS set - but as long as they aren't bent, there would be no reason to favour new ones.
There are no "holes" as such, they clip on to body clips which are fitted to a hole in the panel. The spacing of these doesn't matter so much. I have fewer holes for alignment, then a bit of carefully applied body sealer is used to secure them. The series 1 clips are common to the lower sill trim on Triumph 2000s.
I actually have a nearly complete narrow set for spares. I got them from Chrisw.
