I did think that would be the case that I would be able to start the car in gear by mistake and just wondered if there would be a technical way around it. Thanks for your reply.
I am having trouble with the inhibitor switch which I have replaced twice, it seems to work intermittently. Can anyone tell me if this switch can be by-passed in any way. Its a BW65 auto box
Can anybody tell me if it makes any difference by putting the oil transmitter where the oil switch should be and the switch where the oil transmitter should be, in other words swapping them round. The only reason for doing this is because they are easier to fit this way round.
With the engine out it should be quite an easy fix. If you look in the engine bay on the drivers side you should find a brass tap which is located underneath the steering box. To replace the O ring you have to remove the reserve inner cable which is on the lever and also the little screw on top...
Can anybody help me please. I have got a leaking reserve fuel tap. When I pull the reserve knob and the car is running on reserve it stops leaking. Can anyone tell me if it is ok to drive around on reserve until such time as I can get a replacement or get it repaired.
Could anyone tell me which is the right way for side trim clips to be fitted, with either 2 prongs at the top on the 1 prong at the top. When I took the chrome strip off the clips were all different ways. Is there a right way?
