Guys - I've a had a periodic problem where I'm getting this fibreglass type whispy material - almost like a cockoon for a moth or something - working it's way from the direction of the tank and getting stuck just before my electric fuel pump causing at best a spluttering under load and at worst...

My wipers do not return to the their parked position at all - have to time the turning on and off. Like wise when I put them on intermittent they just move across the screen and stop. I'll have a look at replacing the sponge anyway, but what's causing them not to return? Is it as easily fixable...

Yep - I can confirm that. My 3500 auto suffered terribly last summer, but the new electric pump has performed admirably. Does make a bit of a ticking noise when you're low on fuel, but it's a small price to pay. Cheers Steve.

Exactly the same happened to me - main beam on, headlamps off. Checked the fuse box and one of the fuses had a big lump of hardened plastic on it that had once melted. I cleaned this up put it back and saw the light..... Cheers Steve.

Cheers guys - I'll have another play when I get a chance and let you know. Now you come to mention it, I do remember the extra loud click every couple of minutes or so. So in that respect it does sound like the power isn't getting through, although my trusty 12v tester says the connection does...
