    re the above we did a refurb on the mechanical pump but it did not do the the trick ,as it was too worn, thats why we went for electric,sorry forgot to mention it before, Bill

    thanks for your replies Im thinking it could possibly that it is the float chamber in the Holly carb that is the the problem, as I am taking A dax Cobra along with me which has a holly on and an electric pump with no regulator and it has always run with no problems. thanks Bill

    Helllo ALL, We changed to a Holly 390 carb on the P6 last year and it ran fine but since we got the car back on the road this year the mechanical pump started to let us down so my lad paul decided we should get an electric pump, an SD1 pump but this seems to give too much fuel and does'nt swich...

    Thanks for the replies guys, I took your advice, and got an auto electrician in, he found that the problem was that there was an amp regulator? blown he bypassed this and everything seems to work, apart from alternator of course,he's taken it away and reckons he can repair it for £20 so...
