This is one of the original P6 police speedos.

rover s part number for the calibrated speedo is 586545 and this fitted into a pod. the Met calibrated speedo was a lot larger and sat in a metal frame like in the U tube clip.I am after the smalle one that fits into a pod.I hope this clears things uo. Regards Bob

The plot thickens,I have replaced the new bush and pin on the gear stick much better placed everything back together but still have a floppy gear stick The only thing I can think of is that there must be a bush that fits onto the dome end of the gear stick and into the gear select rod.Is this...

Thanks every one for your helpful replies I have now taken out the gear stick and the problem was the plastic bush.On there is a ball bearing when you push it it goes into the bush.On the gear stick there is a grove is this were it slots into body Does this lock the bush into place? Can any...
