Removing the side plate on right hand side

Well, I guess that since February you did remove and replace the side plate but I just want to say that I agree with Torinouk and Harvey. I did it on mine and with patience it quite an easy job to remove it, the hardest part for me was to refit the bolts behind the oil pump, I had to ask the...

    Pair of SU HD8

Overheating issue with my 2200 TC

Hi everyone the P6 is back on the road at last! No more overheating issue. It took a while but I didn't have that much time to work on it and had irritating problems: I broke a waterpump bolt in the block, took time to extract it, then when everything was back in place, I took the car for a...

Overheating issue with my 2200 TC

No, Colin, I didn't go to the other side yet, because there's work to do to make room. BTW, can you tell me what would be the clever way to make room without removing everything on the RHS of the engine? Sorry but I don't get the sens of "if you fix on hole there will be another along to spoil...

Overheating issue with my 2200 TC

I 'm not using plain water; The RHS of the engine will be the most difficult side to remove the plate. Do you use a sealant in addition of the gasket? Talking about gasket, i changed the rocker cover one and it's still leaking bad. I s there a trick to fit it?

Overheating issue with my 2200 TC

Thank you for the answers. Well well well..... As I removed the radiator, waterpump, inlet and exhaust manifolds, it's may be worth to remove the side plates to see what's behind before refitting to check the timing and the mixture. My concern is the leaks afterward. Does anyone did it? Are the...
