1969 3500 Series 1 in April Yellow

...... and that missing chrome strip in the front guard  . Its just nice to see a classic used every day, regardless of looks

Excellent work Fraser. If it works it's all that matters. I spent about a year driving mine all over with different coloured panels, partly sanded bonnet and a reacted roof that would have passed for vinyl with some Halfords satin black on it. But, it went up and down the M6 at fair speeds, up and down mountains in the lakes, Asda everyweek... thats a 50 mile round trip for us. Also, through a foot or so of flood water getting us to a place when we had no electricity for 3 days. People still see it as a true motorcar. I want mine to look as good as possible, i bought my first car to be a project on purpose and it definitely has been one, i have learned everything on this car and i'm still learning more now. Hopefully at the end of the season my car will be finally finished looking as good as i can make it. I may not do this amount of work to a car again for years... certainly not one i use everyday. I'd happily own an american rust free survivor next, and i won't mind some patina. British cars and the climate they live in always need to be restored at some point.

I love your V8 Fraser and you are using it everyday which i think is the main thing. I love using old things everyday. Our 50s, fridge and cooker for example. It doesn't matter if it doesn't look perfect its all character, you will make a wonderful job of this is the end, what you do with it is up to you. It looks a true honest motorcar from a time when the world turned slower and things were built to last, not to be replaced.
