1970 3500 V8 for sale

It isnt something i can link to im afraid, as i saw it by the road and stopped and had a bit of a look round it last night. Its located on Holland Road in Frinton on Sea Essex. £2250. J-reg white. Bodywork looks neat and tidy for the most part, interior likewise. Nice looking little car, worth a trip up to have a look!

Didnt have a pen to take the telephone number down, but if it is there when i next go fishing up that way then i'll be more than happy to if there is interest?

Funny enough i went to look at this today, It's a 1971 3500 auto model, It's now up for £1950, It has MOT until November, It runs and drives very well, very smooth and sounds lovely (It's the first V8 I've driven) Sadly it does have a few faults, the auto box is leaking oil and the light above the clcok comes on, the owner said it's the gearbox oil light and it's due to a knackered gasket leaking?, and the bodywork looks as if it has been sprayed up to sell, It looks quite nice from a distance but it's hiding a few sins, I've taken plenty of photos as I was very tempted but i think it's more work then i can handle.

the auto box is leaking oil and the light above the clcok comes on, the owner said it's the gearbox oil light and it's due to a knackered gasket leaking?

:shock: The light above the clock is the choke warning light & nothing to do with the gearbox, unless the owner knows something different about this particular car. If it's staying on when the choke is pushed in it'll just be one of the switches playing up.

Is that rust on the inner panels surface rust or breaking through from inside ?

It looked like it was mostly surface rust but the owner works for a body shop and theseszas a lot of overspray on the rubbers and the paint work was very fresh looking making me think he's given it a quick blow over to sell it on.
The floor was quite rusty and the rear 1/4 were bubbling up.
Strange that he told me the cloke light was a oil light though.
