US Car located in western North Carolina. Found this car while looking for a rover engine with a distributor. Seats are nearly perfect. body is kinda rough but it seems to be all there. I bought it for the 3.5 but would be willing to sell the car as is or part the car out maybe.

Hello Toolman243
I am looking for some very-hard-to-find-in-Europe small parts from just such a US-export Rover 3500S: on the underside of the cylindrical air filter canister there should be a rubber 'dustcap', more or less spherical, with a 'slit' which opens when squeezed, to remove any leaves or debris which might have found their way into the air filter. If you have this part and it has no rips or tears, I would be very happy to buy it. Also attached to the air filter canister there should be a couple of short vacuum hoses; one from the intake manifold to the bi-metallic unit in the passenger side of the air filter, and another which goes from there to the vacuum unit on the top of the air filter 'snorkel' which rises to meet the bonnet. If you have these hoses, I need them too! Also, on the back of the air filter canister there are a pair of short stubby pipes. If there are 'plugs' to blank them off I would like them too. If there are hoses, where do they go, and what do they attach to?
I am also after the long vinyl (or leather?) covered piece covering the transmission tunnel, between the ashtrays, including the gaitor for the handbrake lever. And finally, I have already managed to get hold of two pockets for the front door cards beneath the armrests. But I don't know exactly how they are fitted! If you could kindly take a couple of helpful photos I would be very grateful. I am guessing there is a slot cut in each front door card for the map pockets to slot into. How big are the slots and exactly where do I need to cut them?
I am based in Berlin, Germany. Please don't hesitate to let me know how much you would charge for these items, including posting them to me by recorded delivery (so that they must be signed for). I look forward to hearing from you.

mrtask ..... I did not see the spherical ball on the air cleaner but if it is like the rest of the hoses it is probably dry rotted(rottten). The snorkel hoses are not there that lead from air snorkel to the air cleaner. The transmission tunnel buck skin is beautiful and intact. I did take some pics of the door pockets and will upload them asap...
