In short, the answer's no. The exhaust valves on the 2200 head are bigger and will foul the bores on the narrower 2000 block. The increased capacity of the later engine was achieved entirely through an increase in bore size.
BUT, I am told on good authority that a 2200 head will go onto a 2000 block if you go to +0.40" pistons, but:
1) your valve guides would have to be A1 to avoid catching the bores.
2) so much engineering work is involved you might as well go to 2205cc and have done with it - it would be cheaper than finding oversize 2000 pistons and rings too.
