3.5v8 standard V mild upgrade dyno plot

Interesting. Do you have any numbers for P6 vs. later big valve heads?

I have stage 1 10 bolt heads, a Crower 50229 cam and the "montego air filter trick" in the standard airbox. It certainly picks up at higher revs more than it did, but I don't really notice the torque loss. I think the picture you had was a little misleading as the scale is non-zeroed. The effect is nowhere near as dramatic for as it looks on casual reading.

The mod that made the most noticeable difference I made surprised me. Not the engine at all. Fitting slightly undersized tyres (185/70 so only some 6% less). the car is so much more alive in traffic and general driving conditions and sharper from standstill. Stretching the final drive ratio to give reasonable (but still not great) cruising really hurts the car lower down and in general traffic conditions. The 3 speeder doesn't have enough ratio spread, the ZF fixes that.

not yet, that may come although its not overly likely. Unlike the Ford pinto stuff which i have a lot of demand for, its lot of work to back to back test Rover heads
