I am selling my 3.9l V8 out of my race car as it has just got a new 4.0l race engine.
The engine is a 3.9l out of a 1997 Discovery and was rebuilt before I got it with fresh gaskets and seals. it only has 1000km on it since its overhaul.
Currently set up with electronic ignition, P6 front cover and generally ready to drop in and go.
Includes:
3.9l engine complete with rebuilt SU carbs and fully powder coated manifold and rocker covers.
3500S exhaust manifolds with new studs.
Fast road cam with new lifters and rollmaster timing chain.
Powdercoated inlet elbows and painted air filter housing.
Electronic ignition
Is missing:
Flywheel and clutch assembly (need it for the new engine)
Dipstick
Engine mounts
Waterpump
I currently have no use for it and it is cluttering up my workshop. Anyone in the Sydney area (or futher afield if they want to travel) is welcome to give me a call and let me know if they want a look. The engine and carbs cost over $3500 just over a year ago, but I am willing to say goodbye for only $1500. Leave me a message if you are interested and i will get back to you.
