3500 Haynes manual

Hi,

I hope someone can help. I already have the factory workshop manual and parts book but I'm trying to get my hands on a Haynes manual for the 3500/3500S. If anyone has an unwanted copy I would be very interested in buying it from you.

Forgive my curiosity Rob, but if you have factory workshop and spares, why do you want a Haynes? I thought they were simply a photocopy of the factory workshop with crucial bits missed out?

Hi Chris, my son is an ex-RAF engineer and is currently helping me strip down the car and do some repairs as I have just purchased the car, he is only with me for a couple of weeks before he goes back to the UK, then Im on my own and my mechanical skills are relatively basic; but having always used Haynes manuals, im familiar with the layout and would like it to accompany the factory books, but the most important bit is the fault finding sections that they offer. I have just purchased one for 99p from e-bay! No great expense there. My son tends to agree though with your opinion of the Haynes manual though.

I know that we always look down on Haynes a bit ............ and call them the "Haynes Book of Lies" ............. but I always like to have them in addition to my workshop manuals and parts books (several of them, all the same!!)

It's nice to have a thin book to keep in the car, also nice and easy to read in the lounge in front of the telly. Sometimes the workshop manual is just a bit bulky.

And at 99p ........................ hard to resist :)
 
I'd agree with Brian there. In fact I think there may even be some things in the Haynes manual that aren't in the workshop manual, such as setting up the manual gear lever.....well at least I couldn't find it.....I'm sure someone else out there knows where it is :)
