5 speed conversions - Bearboxes

If the P6 Man gearboxes are all the same exturnally, with bell housing different, I believe the SD1 5 speed boxes are all the same, with bell housing different, so if this is the case all of us with a 5 speed none V8 box, should be able to use the same conversion plate that is used by the 4 cylinder engines, ( in one of the earlier P6 news) so the gearbox will mate with the 3500s bellhousing, the SD1 clutch will have to be used, but doing it this way should save money on the SD1 bell housing, only question is does the SD1 clutch fit the P6 flywheel? The clutch on my 3500s is slipping so it may be worth doing this coversion and buy a SD1 clutch, as I already have a 5 speed box, but do I need a SD1 flywheel? Can any one tell me if this will work, Also I have picked up that sometime people have had to cut pieces out of the tranmission tunnel on the 3500s, where abouts do they have to cut, is it where the gearbox or bellhousing sits, If it is where the bellhousing sit then this should make it easier to fit, Can any body corect me on the above. Thanks Sean
