5 speed speedo cable.

i have a rover 3500s converted to 5 speed SD1 box. speedo is wavery and reading wrong so i suspect a worn cable. do i need a new SD1 cable or a normal 3500s one off 4 speed box? thanks
 
I modified the standard 3500S cable to fit. Other than that it's either have a custom cable made, or bodge the SD1 speedo into the P6 dash, which I have heard of. Can't say I'd do it though.
 
i there yea there are a few way's to do this u can get a sd1 cable and change the end piece to the speedo i did use a p6 end and tape it up did work fine untill i change the dash or use a p6 cable which is what i am using on mine now well its a 2000/2200 cable but the long 1 and squashed the gearbox fitting bracket to fit the end bit of cable and works great or you get a new cable made up to fit both ends and if yr speedo is reading wrong all to gether you will have to get yr speedo recalibrated which speedy cable do i not long had mine done
