Air in Fuel lines/Fuel Starvation Issue

Hi all,

My newly acquired series 2 3500 has a slightly odd habit of cutting out occasionally when on an incline. It generally happens when the car is pointing uphill, but has also happened once where the car has been facing downwards. When looking under the bonnet when this is happening, it appears that the fuel coming through the pipe is full of air, and it takes a long time to fill the chamber supplying the carbs.
It has had an electric pump fitted by the new owner directly off the reserve tank, in an attempt to fix the problem, which sadly hasn't worked.
Has anyone got any idea what it could be?!

Many thanks in advance!

Sounds to be just normal fuel vaporization issue that is common in the P6B, yes you will still see air in the fuel filter. A search on the forum will give a lot of hits and cures.
