Alternative steel wheels

I could read a lot of aluminium wheels, but I like steel wheels, without wheel caps. I know, it´s unusual..
The original P6 wheel (V8) does not, sorry, look nice. Did anyone try an alternative 14" steel wheel. It could be a little bit wider, for sure, with offset still not forcing doeing bodywork.

Hi, You're not alone, I like bare wheels with no wheel trims. I have 6x14" SD1 wheels on. Be aware you need the V8 wheels which are painted black, the silver wheels are 5½x14". They will take 205/70/14 and be the same rolling radius so speedo reads right.

I've got a set of Chevy small truck steel wheels on mine, but they required serious amounts of work to fit.

I think standard American steel wheels from base model Buick's etc of the 60's may just fit with minimal of massaging of the rear D-post, I could be wrong as they generally have a large offset in comparison to the Rover wheels?

There are places selling new off the shelf steels in various sizes and styles in 5x5", depends what you really want?

The 5" PCD is the main issue however the internal rim size is also slightly smaller than standard so the standard U.S. rim is too big for the centre. They are muxh lighter though. My rostyles went from just under 20kg to 8.8kg with new 6" rims rolled down to fit.

I see, I´m not alone ;)
Your informations will help me. Alcar has a good configurator, there are some, but 16".
The standard ones are not looking that bad, I must say, togehter with the lowered car (and a dark-grey finish...). Have to think also, how I can get an ok from the German TÜV (MOT), in the meantime, they only accept "historic correct" solutions..
