So...having got the inside of the house something like (new kitchen, bathroom, etc) and inspired by pilkie and others, I decided this would be the year I started spending what's left of my daughter's inheritance on a sorely-needed home for OCY - and somewhere dry to work on her!.
Starting point...
Deep breaths...and off we go!
And the garage base at last!
Pause for a couple of weeks, including a few days away camping - and the Beamish Rally! Then...
It's 28'3" x 14'6" external and 7' to the eaves...I wanted plenty of working room around the car. I did briefly consider a pit, but I've never really fancied them. With the extra height I can get the car 2' up in the air if necessary.
Walls and floor painted...
Fitting out!
And OCY at home!
Still loads to do. Next step, electrics. I've put in an underground duct through which I'll pull a 10 sq. mm. armoured cable. Then the patio needs doing, and slabbing down the side of the garage - as long as the cash doesn't run out!
