Anyone Used this mob or brought these?

hi very interesting however the fixing for the down pipe doesn't quite look right to me but hard to tell... and the description sounds as if they don't really know what they are on about.... says its for a mg zr in which case no way would it fit.

I seem to remember somebody doing so a year or 2 back. They were fairly roughly finished but fitted just fine iirc.

I have these fitted to my 4.6 currently, not in a running state but they physically fit well and bolt straight up.
It's the inside surfaces that could be finished better, but that's not a terribly difficult job considering how cheap they are/were. I've got a nice long rotary burr for the job and a long reach air die grinder, something I need to do so thanks for the reminder!
I haven't heard anything negative about toyosports as a brand..
There was a red v8 for sale last year that had them fitted, there was a video listing.
Also there is another member on here who has them fitted, he had to straighten the bolting bar slightly and modify a little area to make the dipstick fit properly. Perhaps their quality control isn't amazing, but then again the price is so low.
The exterior finish is generally good with a standard polish, I've re-polished mine because I like things to be close to perfect.
The welds are very good.

They look good, pity they didn't do a pic from the other side to see how close the pipes/welds come to the bolt holes to see if any fettling may be needed. Trouble is if you had to return them for any reason that would be extra cost etc.
They say they do worldwide shipping but do not state a price for Australia, and also state "may not post to Australia" so you may have to ask them if they will post to you and feasibility of purchase will depend on this.
Are you having difficulty sourcing a standard second hand manifold to replace your holed one?
I would think that the custom made Aussie ones you have priced would be proper extractors system with a 4 into 2 into 1, with the flange (that joins the rest of the system) sitting well below the standard flange hence the price??

Scott

I looked at getting a set of extractors for my 4.6 back in 2007, but the cost was prohibitive. A set of 4-2-1 made specifically for the role would have set me back over 2 grand!

Then on top of that there is the cost of ceramic coating both inside and out, as using them without would be unthinkable. The heat given off will melt plastic and rubber parts with considerable ease, plus the life of the tubes are compromised.

When they crack, they'll have to come off again, and all that money I would have spent will have been for naught.

Sure they will make the engine sound good, but in terms of a performance improvement, for a road going car with an automatic transmission (my Rover), any difference would be negligible.

Ron.
