Arson Attack - Angry or What!!!!

I went out this morning to pick up my insulin prescription when i notice this dark stain outside my front gate,....[img=http://img207.imageshack.us/img207....th.jpg],
at first i thought that the binmen had spilt something but when i walked round to the front of the car i found this,

It's obvious that somebody has laid a trail from my car to a small patch of grass opposite, and then set it alight :angry:
Luckily the fire didn't take hold and there was little damage to the car (bonnet was a bit singed around the badge, [img=http://img136.imageshack.us/img136....th.jpg] )
Needless to say, if i find out who it was,........
 
Have you reported it to the local constabulary? If so, I hope they are taking matters seriously. The fact that you could have lost your pride and joy is serious enough, but the houses there look in close proximity to where your car is parked - a burning car could have been catastrophic. The area your house does not look like the sort of area where such a crime would normally be expected?

Not wishing to bemoan the youth of today - it was probably some adolescent herbert with nothing better to do. If I had my way there would be National Service reinstated to reduce the seemingly endless supply of feral herberts this country seems so efficient in producing.

I don't think this country will improve until they bring back hanging. Or birching for setting fire to a P6
 
Nightmare, just glad there was not too much damage and that nobody was hurt. I'd just for once would love to find one of the toerags in the act and dish out some proper justice.
 
Scumbags mate, glad your jam-jar wasn`t too badly singed. I `work` with said Toerags on a daily basis, doing my part in trying to `rehabilitate` them. Knowing where you`re based, I actually know a few from your area, most of whom are banged up at this very moment. But there are always little gangs mooching about all hours of the day and night, looking for something to blag or destroy. I had an arson attempt myself a while back, then they had a go at nicking the lead off my roof! A late night vigil with the lights out and a yard of piping is in order mate!

Thanks for your sentiments guys,the local constabulary was informed but i've heard nothing yet,
Victim Support rang me last night to see how i was coping ???

I've been speaking to the neighbours but none of them saw or heard anything,...However.my missus was at the local shop yesterday and she got talking to the old couple that live at the bottom of the road, and they said that there was a dark coloured nissan parked outside their house in the early hours of monday mornig,
What bothers me is the description of the two occupants in the nissan,....it fits one of my mates and his nephew to a tee

I know who you mean mate,...but they tend to cause havoc on the "other" side of the A4,we did have one trouble maker but he's gone now,( he was the one that covered my car in eggs and flour a couple of years back)

That is bazzar.

One thing I did notice is that you have parked next to a BT manhole . Many of you will not be aware that there has be a spate of thefts of cable across the country in the last couple of years. The bad boys open up and hack away an make off with a considerable amount of scrap value.

There is also the vandalism problem where criminals and idiots have been known to set fire to the manholes especially where there is cctv because they are up to no good.

Not very clever regardless of what they were trying to do.
