Popped along to Beaulieu today for a bit of a day out and to see what's about etc etc..
Walked through the Practical classics stand and bumped into a series one P6B that's a staff project car I guess.
I don't usually comment on other peoples work as I understand there are hobbyist's or amateur's out there who produce variable quality of workmanship as do some professionals. However, seeing that type of work coming from 'professional restorers/authors' is alarming.
I do admire one thing though, the sheer audacity to let the public look at it

Yeah looked that over too , bit of a shed wasn't it , Allot of those magazine types seem to throw loads of money at a motor then forget it for a few months , then drag it back out and do it all again . Certainly didn't look loved !

I went along to Beaulieu on Sunday. Did you guys see the P6B that was for sale at the entrance? That was in even worse condition than the Practical Classics one, but had a rather sweet reg: ULJIJ

There wasn't much in the way of P6 gear otherwise.

I've long suspected the Practical Classics writers are not as practical as they would have us believe .Not like the magazine used to be.
Have you seen that shed of a BMW they've taken on as a project?

Yeah, the tobacco leaf car with rostyles... rough for sure, Jersey plates or somewhere like??

As for that BMW, looks as if it belongs on top of another one, probably still will after it's done... Ouch!

Apologies to anyone who was going to look for me and the MGTF1500 in the motormart arena over the weekend!
As it sold during the week before, and as I didnt need to buy anything,I decided not to go!
I spent the weekend giving the TR6 some overdue TLC!
Shame I didnt have time to sell on the weekend entry and camping ticket!!
